How to change slider dimensions

We are ready to provide you with instructions on how to change slider dimensions in Joomla 3.x themes.

Your Joomla theme might use either Swiper Slider or Image Swoop module for adding a slider. We will show you how to manage slider dimensions in those modules further. To change slider size you will need to perform a few simple steps:

Swiper Slider

Swiper slider is the most modern Joomla slider. This module has many useful features. Among the other things, it has slider dimensions settings.

To access and configure slider settings:

1. Open Extensions > Modules page in your Joomla backend.
2. Enter Swiper Slider to the search field to locate the module or use the Type drop-down to filter Swiper modules.
3. Once you open module page you will see different slider settings. We have talked about them in the tutorial on how to work with the Swiper Slider module.
4. To access dimensions settings click on Swiper Settings tab.
5. Find Height and Min height fields. You need to set value for height and min-height here. We recommend you to set it in percents to make it adjusted for different devices.
6. Save changes and check your site to see slider dimensions change.

Image Swoop

Image Swoop module is a combination of default newsflash module and Camera Slideshow jQuery plugin.

To access and change slider settings you need perform the following steps:

1. In your site admin panel navigate to Extensions > Modules page.
2. Use the Type drop-down to filter Image Swoop modules and open the module titled Image Swoop.
3. Expand Options > Image Swoop Settings tab.
4. Locate General section and enter slider height to the Height and Min Height fields. You can use pixel (px) or percentage (%) value.
5. Click Save button and check your site to see the change.
